- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆November 01, 2019, by Chris FootePrice Chopper is a good supermarket, but pricey like most supermarkets are compared to Walmart or Target. They do have a nice prepared foods selection, a sushi chef who creates sushi daily, and a nice deli. So some costs are justifiable there. Unfortunately, after 830pm they usually shut down self checkout and have *one* lane open. God help you if you get behind a full cart.
